Autumn is Upon Us - Red Wine Returns!

The air is a bit brisker and the days are a bit shorter.  So you know what that means, it's fall autumn.  Along with dusting off your boots and picking those mothballs out of your sweater jumper, its time for mulled red wine.

Sure, some may save this sweet treat for proper winter time.  I am not one of those people.  Me and mulled red wine have a bit of a history you see.  When I first arrived back in August 2008, I discovered this sweet red elixir around November.  I have never met such a delightful individual while back home in America.  It was love at first sight and a torrid and short-lived affair ensued. 

You see, mulled red wine is only shelved until January (at least it is for the M&S brand which I love).  However, if you start to entertain young Mr. Wine the moment that autumn appears, you can have several more months of joy before he inevitably disappears for another year.

Of course, I could always buy the spices and make it myself.  But you mustn't forget, I am American which means that I am lazy as hell.  It is far more convenient for me to buy the stuff than it is to make it myself.  So for the next few months, its safe to say that you'll probably be able to find me in a pub near a fire praising my lovers return.
